Truck Assist, Australia’s leading truck roadside assistance and online insurance provider, is proud to be partnering with Isuzu Trucks aboard the TEKNO Autosports Holden Commodore for the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.

Unveiled today was the number 19 machine which will be campaigned by Jack Le Brocq across Australia and New Zealand this season, with the familiar Truck Assist branding, which first hit the race track at last year’s Sandown 500.

After five events in 2018, which culminated in Le Brocq claiming the top rookie honours from the Supercars Championship, this will be Trucks Assist’s first full campaign in the sport.

Isuzu Trucks meanwhile have been the market leading truck manufacturer in Australia for the past 30 years, with the brand having a long-standing association with Truck Assist and parent company NTI.

The outfit will hit the circuit for the first time this Thursday at the Supercars test day at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, before taking on the Superloop Adelaide 500 for the season opening event from February 28 to March 1.

Jack Le Brocq – Truck Assist Driver TEKNO Racing

“It’s great to have Truck Assist back on board with TEKNO for 2019, the car itself looks awesome, the orange on black stands out from the pack, it should be an easy one to spot on the circuit,” said Le Brocq.

“Personally, it’s exciting to welcome new brands on board, and I can’t wait to start working with the team from Isuzu.

“Obviously we get the chance to go testing this week – anytime you get to cut laps around Phillip Island is awesome, then it will be all eyes forward to Adelaide.

“I learned a lot throughout my first full year in 2018, now it’s about taking advantage of it.”

Alan Hasted – General Manager, Truck Assist

“It’s fantastic to be bringing together TEKNO Autosports, Jack Le Brocq, Truck Assist and also Isuzu Trucks for the 2019 Supercars season,” said Mr Hasted.

“Between Truck Assist and our parent company NTI, we have enjoyed a long-term relationship with Isuzu as the brand’s preferred service partner, with a focus on 24-hour roadside assistance.

“This partnership is a natural extension of that collaboration and is exciting for everyone involved.

“In the final five events of the 2018 season we received incredible feedback and support from the Supercars’ fanbase, thanks to our partnership with TEKNO.

“We can’t wait to see the Truck Assist machine on the streets of Adelaide to kick off the season!”

John Walker – Head of Marketing and Customer Experience, Isuzu Australia

“Isuzu Trucks is very proud to be partnering with the TEKNO Autosports team, as well as NTI and Truck Assist for the 2019 Supercars season,” said Mr Walker.

“As the Australian market leader in trucks for the past 30 years, Isuzu’s products go hand in hand with NTI and Truck Assist, so there is a great brand synergy in place for our audience.

“The fanbase for the Supercars Championship has a very strong alignment with the Isuzu customer base, so naturally it’s exciting that we are able to have our customers engage further with the series.

“It’s fantastic to be partnering with a team that has the Bathurst winning pedigree of TEKNO, while we are also partnering with Jack on a personal level, who we see as having a bright future in the sport.”
