Woodstock Bourbon have thrown their full support behind Bathurst 1000 Champions TEKNO, backing the team as their key sponsor for the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship in 2017.

Woodstock have supported the Supercars Championship for the past two years and have now come on board with TEKNO as key sponsor at the Clipsal 500, Townsville 400, Sandown 500, Bathurst 1000 and the Gold Coast 600.

Michael Edmonds, General Manager of Marketing at Asahi Premium Beverages, was impressed by TEKNO over the past year and was ecstatic at the opportunity to support a team that embodies the same values as Woodstock.

“In our past two years’ involvement with Supercars we have seen unbelievable passion from both the teams and fans of the sport. Seeing a tight-knit and passionate team like TEKNO come through the Supercars Championship, and to rise up and win the Bathurst 1000, really showed us that they are a team we would love to align with Woodstock. We are really excited to continue our involvement in the Supercars through our sponsorship of TEKNO Woodstock Racing.”

TEKNO’s Team Owner Jonathon Webb is excited to partner with Woodstock and to represent their iconic brand on the Number 19 Holden Commodore.

“Myself and TEKNO are really excited to partner with an iconic brand like Woodstock. Working with an organisation of their stature shows our modest team has come a long way in a short amount of time. There are some exciting projects in the pipeline and we are all really looking forward to representing Woodstock on the Supercar and our uniforms in 2017.”

Driver Will Davison is stoked to have Woodstock’s support, and is thrilled that he has the opportunity to drive for a brand that he enjoys off the track.

“It’s fantastic news that Woodstock has come on board to support our program in 2017, I am looking forward to sharing some on-track success with them this year, and celebrating that success by sharing a quiet Woodstock or two away from the track as well!”

Woodstock will also feature Davison in their trade promotions and marketing material throughout the year to connect their rich authentic Kentucky Bourbon taste with Supercars fans.

To celebrate the partnership, Woodstock will be running a promotion from March until May, giving fans the chance to win one of five 3-day trips for 2 to the Gold Coast to enjoy a test drive experience with tuition by Will Davison at TEKNO’s home base.

Woodstock and TEKNO will debut their partnership at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide on March 2-5, with all races to be televised LIVE on Fox Sports.
