Today TEKNO confirm Super2 star Jack Le Brocq will contest the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship with a newly reformed team TEKNO.

With 11 race wins recorded across the past two Super2 seasons, Le Brocq will make his debut into the country’s premier professional motor racing category with the support and leadership of newly appointed TEKNO Group Principal, Adrian Burgess.

Burgess is motivated to accrue further results in his Supercars career, formerly head of the Holden Racing Team and general manager of both Triple Eight Race Engineering and Dick John Racing, Burgess brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the single-car Gold Coast based team.

TEKNO will equip Le Brocq with a newly TEKNO built, Triple Eight Holden ZB Commodore.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to begin my Supercars ‘main game’ career with TEKNO”, says Le Brocq.

“I am very excited to be making my Supercars Championship start with Adrian Burgess joining the team, alongside a brand new ZB Commodore to drive, it’s a dream come true.”

“This is a massive opportunity and I will work hard to maximise it.”

Adrian Burgess confirmed his return to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship in a full-time capacity with TEKNO as Group Principal.

“It’s the right time for me and for TEKNO,” Adrian Burgess said.

“We have put in place the right mix of skills and equipment to be properly competitive and I am quietly confident our 2018 campaign will surprise a few people.”

“There’s a bunch of young guys entering the Supercars championship this season, and we believe Jack has what it takes to lead the rookies and challenge the best of them.”

“It’s an exciting time for all of us and we are confident TEKNO will be a team to follow.”

TEKNO Managing Director Jonathon Webb is enthusiastic about the season ahead, he says,

“TEKNO are committed to re-establishing ourselves as the team to watch in 2018 and beyond. We have invested heavily in new personnel and a new Supercar, to ensure TEKNO has the best possible opportunity to succeed,”

“Commercially, our program has come together too… we’ll have plenty to talk about in the coming weeks.”
