Jack Le Brocq aboard the SS Signs/TeamTEKNO Commodore continued along the learning curve in his rookie Supercars season, as the championship took to Winton Motor Raceway. The weekend saw Le Brocq register race results of 15th and 17th, with some positives to take away from the event. “Obviously the wet weather on Friday made life tough, but when it was dry in the afternoon we had some good speed on old tyres,” said Le Brocq. Jack Le Brocq prepares for action “The start of Saturday’s race didn’t exactly go to plan when we were spun out, but we had some good pace and were able to work our way back past a few cars. “Today was a tough slog – [...]

The TEKNO/Nu Look Floors machine working hard at Barbagallo Raceway Jack Le Brocq completed a strong weekend at the Perth SuperSprint aboard the TeamTEKNO/Nu Look Floors Commodore, with top-ten speed converted on the results sheet. The team brought home results of 16th and ninth from Western Australia, with other highlights including top-ten efforts in practice and qualifying. “Barbagallo is always a juggling act with tyres, so the longer races this weekend made life interesting,” said Le Brocq. “On Saturday the grip levels really fell off a cliff late in the race, which wasn’t really helped by dealing with too much understeer.   “That said, we were well and truly competitive, and looking good for a top-ten until then. “Today [...]

The TEKNO/Tour de Cure Commodore in action at Phillip Island Jack Le Brocq had another solid learning weekend aboard the TeamTEKNO/Tour de Cure Commodore at the WD-40 Phillip Island 500, with consistently quick race laps a highlight for the team over the course of the event. Having to work hard after a pair of tough qualifying results, Le Brocq registered finishes of 20th and 18th from the respective races. “The big positive to take away from the event is that we had good race pace, but we just need to qualify better to be able to take advantage of it,” said Le Brocq. Le Brocq: prepares for battle “On Saturday, we were seventh to eighth best on average lap times [...]

Jack Le Brocq has had the best event of his Supercars season to date, with the Team TEKNO/AusPT Commodore registering a double top-ten result from Symmons Plains Raceway in Tasmania. Finishing tenth in the opening race set the stage for a fifth-place effort on Sunday, with the rookie continuing to come to terms with the car. The result was in part due to a driving style change for Le Brocq, who transitioned to right foot braking after using his left foot up to this stage in his career. Le Brocq: continues to learn the new car “It was pretty awesome to be able to back up the result from yesterday, it’s a great payoff for all of the hard work [...]

Jack Le Brocq continues along the learning curve in his rookie Supercars season, with a solid weekend for the Team TEKNO/AusPT Commodore at the Australian Grand Prix. Varied weather conditions over the event made life interesting, with the crew working hard to tune the car and driver for the temporary Albert Park circuit. “It’s been a good weekend, but there’s still a long way for me to go in totally understanding how the Triple 8 car works and what I need out of it, especially in terms of getting the car to go fast and look after its tyres,” said Le Brocq. Le Brocq: focused “Overall I’m much happier with the car at the end of the weekend than how we [...]

Apart from being Le Brocq’s first full time Supercars start, the occasion marked TEKNO’s 100th Supercars Championship event, and the first round with Adrian Burgess in place as TEKNO’s Group Principal. “It was a pretty tough initiation, but there are a lot of positive lessons to take away from it,” said Le Brocq. “By the end of the weekend we had some decent speed, and Campbell (Little) really worked with me on my driving technique, which started to show some results. “There is a lot of potential with the team and the car, we’ll head [...]

Davison 15th In Supercars Championship

TEKNO’s Will Davison departs Newcastle with top ten results, completing his 2017 Supercars Championship campaign in 15th Overall. Race 25 - Position 9 Newcastle delivered an equally beautiful and challenging circuit for our Supercar teams. Team TEKNO approached the new track with a pacey setup straight out of the team’s transporter, allowing Davison to earn P7 in qualifying for the inaugural Newcastle 500 race. Race 25 saw Davison make an impressive start against a strong field. Strategy combined with defensive driving meant car 19 was in contention for a podium position before an ill-timed Safety Car arose creating a double stack scenario behind garage mate Lowndes in Pit Lane. Although valuable time was lost in pit lane, Davison was able [...]
