The TEKNO V8 Supercar team are confident heading into the SKYCITY Triple Crown Darwin 19 – 21 June 2015 coming from a successful new chassis shakedown at Queensland Raceway last Wednesday.

The Queensland-based Holden team heads to the Hidden Valley circuit with new support from K&N Filters. The world’s leading manufacturer of washable performance air filters and air intake systems will come on board as a product supplier and car sponsor for the remainder of the 2015 V8 Supercar Championship Series.

K&N is a world class filtration company selling air filters, oil filters, and air intakes in over 30 countries. K&N sells over 5,000 products designed for cars, trucks, motorcycles, engines, and industrial applications. From their Million Mile Warranty to their Consumer Protection Pledge, K&N stands behind their products and their consumers 100%. The distinctive K&N logo represents performance from one of the original performance companies.

“We are very excited to partner with K&N Filters from Darwin onwards in the 2015 V8 Supercars Championship.  K&N Filters have a reputation for performance and quality which mirrors our own business and values.  We look forward to a long and productive relationship” General Manager Steve Hallam said.

K&N Engineering has also formed a partnership with the road car division of the team – TEKNO Performance which specialises in upgrades for late model vehicles. Working alongside the V8 Supercar team as a product partner, the performance and enhancement division will work closely with K&N as a long term strategy for future product research and development.

“K&N is excited to be a part of the TEKNO team, both in their V8 Supercar team and their road car workshop.  Motorsport is a key part of the heritage of K&N Engineering – we love competing and will always back our engineering expertise and technology to win.  We always look to support racers who use our products to do this.” Said Richard Smith, Australasia Business Manager, K&N Engineering.

Over the 4 week break the Darrell Lea STIX team have been working on the build of a new V8 Supercar chassis but now turns their focus onto featuring at the front at Hidden Valley.

Driver Shane van Gisbergen and Steve Hallam were positive about the June 19-21 SKYCITY Triple Crown Darwin – Hidden Valley is a track the Kiwi has gone well at in the past, and was part of a memorable finish for TEKNO, as van Gisbergen chased down Mark Winterbottom in the closing stages and finished second last year.

“We’re really excited to get back on track at Darwin after such a long break. We’ve got a new car and it’s also great to have K&N on board for the rest of 2015.” Team Owner Jonathon Webb said.

The Darrell Lea STIX Commodore will next be on track at the SKYCITY Triple Crown Darwin 19 – 21 June 2015.
