Team Sydney has taken the covers off the two cars Fabian Coulthard and Garry Jacobson will campaign in the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship. Veteran Coulthard will carry Local Legends backing this season, while fellow recruit Jacobson will be sponsored by PremiAir Hire. Tour de Cure also features on the bonnet of Jacobson's #22 entry. The matching liveries are a tweak of the fluorescent yellow and black scheme which was campaigned by Alex Davison last season. "We are proud to unveil our Supercars ahead of the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship; albeit from our temporary base at TEKNO in Yatala," team owner Jonathon Webb said. "We are looking forward to testing tomorrow then returning home to Sydney Motorsport Park before the Repco [...]
We are excited to announce that Garry Jacobson has been confirmed as Fabian Coulthard's Team SYDNEY team-mate for the 2021 season. Jacobson moves to Team SYDNEY from Matt Stone Racing, where he completed a full-time campaign in 2020 and recorded a season best finish of seventh at Sydney Motorsport Park. Our Holden squad, which debuted under the Team SYDNEY name in 2020, enters the new season with an all-new driver line-up. Jacobson, who has made 40 Supercars race starts, is excited to hit the track with his new team. "Going head to head with Team Sydney last year I was really impressed that a newly created team could improve so quickly and achieve continually better results from round to round," [...]
Fresh off a career-best solo race result, Chris Pither has set a target of improving the qualifying speed of his #22 Coca-Cola Commodore this weekend. Team Sydney cashed their chips in early at the first half of the Darwin doubleheader, with Pither using a soft-soft tyre strategy to charge to fifth in the opening race. That included executing fine overtakes on both Shell V-Power Racing Mustangs in the dying laps. All season, Pither has set the simple task of improving round-to-round, and they certainly ticked that box last weekend. “We’re not going to make changes overnight and go to the front of the field; it’s going to be a process but so long as we’re making gains and moving forward it’s [...]
The squad formerly known as Tekno Autosports started the year based out of its existing Gold Coast premises, with the intention to move into the Sydney Motorsport Park complex as soon as possible. That transition is now complete, with the team set up in a temporary onsite workshop – from where it will shift into the planned Centre of Excellence facility at a later date. “[We moved in] probably about a fortnight ago now,” team owner Jonathon Webb told Supercars.com. “We packed up the truck like everyone else did on the Friday at Grand Prix [in March], and not knowing what the world was going to do, the hope and the intent was that we would go to Tassie a [...]

Team SYDNEY remain committed to delivering two competitive Supercars in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. James Courtney’s departure from Team SYDNEY will not affect this. We confirm that Chris Pither and Coca-Cola Amatil remain committed to Team SYDNEY, despite speculation from media outlets. We continue our preparation for competition at the Australian Grand Prix and will release the Driver and livery of Car 19 in due course. On behalf of our Team and my family, I’d like to thank our Sponsor partners and followers for their continued support and involvement in the Team SYDNEY project. We will fortify our efforts and move forward. Lastly, we wish James the best for his racing future. Jonathon Webb.
Today, Team SYDNEY has unveiled the beginning of our 2020 Campaign with Coca-Cola Amatil as a new partner. Team SYDNEY continues to focus on building as we release the first of our two liveries. Further announcements will follow, including the Driver of Car #22.
Truck Assist TEKNO Racing driver Jack Le Brocq rounded out season 2019 with a solid drive to 17th in the second race of the Newcastle 500, after an all-night rebuild following Saturday drama. “It was a good reward today for the guys on the team to bring the car home nice and straight, they put in a massive effort overnight to get the show back on the road,” said Le Brocq. “It kind of sums up our season – never give up. “Yesterday was a shame, we’ve had a great run this season keeping the car nice and straight, so it was disappointing to have a DNF. “A big thanks goes out to all of the crew, our sponsors and [...]
Truck Assist TEKNO Racing is making a double throwback for this weekend’s Sandown 500 retro round, with the number 19 Holden Commodore to be driven by Jack Le Brocq and Jonathon Webb sporting a tribute to Bob Morris’s Holden Torana A9X, while also carrying the colours of Truck Assist’s sister company, National Transport Insurance. Morris’s distinctive green, white and blue Toranas hold a special place in the history of Australian motorsport, having taken the Hall of Fame driver to the 1979 Australian Touring Car Championship, edging out Peter Brock in the final point score. Significantly, Morris won the Sandown round from his successful campaign, the 100th race to be contested in the history of the Championship. Morris also won Championship [...]
Truck Assist TEKNO Racing’s Jack Le Brocq and Jonathon Webb have had their best weekend of the Supercars season to date, claiming a pair of 13thplace results from the Vodafone Gold Coast 600. Over the course of the weekend, the duo avoided the ever-present carnage in the concrete canyon, while also making it to the race lead on both days. “It was a great effort by Jonathon and the whole team, everyone here deserves some good results for all of their hard work,” said Le Brocq. “We actually had great speed at the end of the runs, and especially through the chicanes, the Truck Assist Commodore was flying. “I think both results will put us in a pretty good place [...]
